Police were called after the woman drove herself to a local hospital seeking treatment around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, April 15, Baltimore Police said.
The woman was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to her right shoulder and her injuries were described as non-life-threatening, police said.
The victim told investigators an unidentified man tried to rob her while she was walking in the area of Hilton and Baltimore Street. When she then tried to run away, she was shot, police said.
